Jason insisted that we go outside and find a tree so that we could take a "first day of school" (or in his case, first day of work) picture. I told him to smile, and he insisted he couldn't.......it's tradition.
Apparently growing up, Jason's mom always took a "first day of school" picture, and there always had to be a tree in the background. Also, he was never smiling because he was always mad that his mom made him stand there until she got a good one.
So............this one's for you Joann!

I took one just like this for Spencer on his first day of his internship in DC this summer! Only, it was in front of the front door, cuz that was my family's tradition :)
