Cruise 2012!

Don't look too close, here I am in all my pregnant glory.
So, our first excursion we did was in Progresso. My brother in law Chet had planned a little trip to some Cenotes, and it was amazing. In order to get there, we rode on little buggies pulled by horses. It was really quite inventive. The carts moved along two metal railways while the horses pulled.
This is a good picture of the little contraption.
We had an amazing lunch while we were there. Sometimes I'm a little sketched out by the food in foreign countries, but this was the best mexican I think we've ever had. It was amazing.
So this is what the Cenote looked like from above.
We jumped into the water off a little platform, and the water was perfect. And super clear, it was absolutely gorgeous. My favorite thing we did on the whole cruise.
Here is a picture of the descent into the Cenote.
This was the second Cenote we went to. It was a little bigger, and was just as gorgeous. It was so fun to just jump in and swim around.
Our next stop was Cozumel, where we rented mopeds and cruised around the island. The first hour or so we were there, it started pouring rain, so Jason made a little shelter out of palm leaves for Jennette and I to stay dry under. It was quite the little fort. Jason is super handy to have around when you're in a pinch. It was our hunger games moment. Survival of the fittest.
A better view of the shelter. It doesn't look quite so big with Jason standing under it, but it was big trust me.
This was my favorite discovery of the trip. Isn't this the coolest sea star you've ever seen? I need to look up what kind of sea star it is, but I have seen pictures of this type of star in my marine biology book, but I had never seen one in person. I took a video of it too, and the sea star was booking it trying to get out of our hands. Pretty cool stuff.
I bet no other guys have thought of taking their picture with their shirts off in front of this clever sign......
We stopped and had lunch on the shore, and once again, it was super delicious food.
Here is where Jennette and I read and snorkeled as the guys went out on a snorkel trip that lasted far too close to the ship's departure time for my taste. It was like Puerto Rico all over again. Except that this time I got smart. Instead of joining the fellas, Jennette and I left on the mopeds before the guys got back to make sure we didn't miss our ship. I wasn't about to have this baby in Mexico.
Dinners were fun. Each night we all enjoyed a chocolate melting cake with two scoops of ice cream. Divine. All in all, it was a fantastic trip. And such a great way to celebrate pre-baby. Once again, all of this was made possible by my mom and sister coming out to watch little Lynlee, and I am so grateful that they were willing to come. It made the trip so much better knowing that Lynlee was having the time of her life with her Grandma and Aunt!
