You know how whenever you visit your extended family, everything is always so nostalgic? I have so many memories at my grandparents house, everything reminds me of my childhood. Their house, the color of their couches, berry picking in their backyard, all the art hanging on the walls, the bird feeders all over their backyard, the huge tree in the front yard we used to always play inside, even the sign in the bathroom that has a poem about flushing unwanted things down the toilet....... All bring a smile to my face.

We went to the Tillamook cheese factory, and my mom bought Lynlee these fairy wings. As you will see, she wore them everywhere. If nothing else, they made for dang cute pictures.

The view from inside "the tree."

It all started at 5am Saturday morning...........we had all been planning on leaving for our trip bright and early, we were all going to just wake up and get in the cars and start driving. My mom woke up that morning and thought it wasn't such a good idea to bring my sister's car, and that maybe we should wait and see if the other car gets out of the shop. Well, long story short we ended up driving my sister's car, and leaving much later than planned.
BAD IDEA.
I wish we had taken before and after pictures of her car.
This is a photo of the hail we ran into while driving......which left a plethora of hail damage all over her beautiful car. Then a small collision, and flat tire later.....her car arrived back in Utah. Never to be the same again.
We all felt so bad that we brought her car. Of course the old van didn't get a single scratch. Isn't that always how it goes?

Another picture of the storm.

Yes she is eating. Yes she is on the toilet. Yes those are a box of tampons. Yes that is a heating pad.

Twinner hair!

"Sometimes I'm afraid of Grandpa...." -Ariel pinch hitting

This is my grandpa's art studio. We were never allowed to go in here as kids, so Crystal and I snuck in and took some pictures this time. Such rebels, I know.

Visiting my grandparents is never complete without an adjustment. Usually a painful one. After giving me an adjustment, he told me I would be pregnant in a month.

Creepy right? One of the many creepy dolls found at my grandparents house.

My aunt Bev painted this of Lynlee while we were there. I love her watercolor paintings, they are so cute. This picture is now framed and on Lynlee's dresser by her bed.

Sleeping arrangements. Always fun. Please, whatever you do....don't leave a million comments about how gorgeous we are even while we sleep......It gets old.

Here we are at "rootbeer lake" park. Actually, I think its called 5 mile lake or something I can't remember. We celebrated my Grandma's 84th Birthday!!! It was a blast. Grandma was so cute while she opened her gifts and greeted everyone who came. She even sported a tiara all evening.

"I woke up this morning hoping I'd hear mom talk about ointments"-Dave
"Oh that little sh*#!.. Sometimes I call my kids that. He he."-Grandma

My grandma is hilarious. I'm pretty sure she had a little crush on my brother in law Matt.....Isn't it funny how when you get old you somehow have carte blanche and are allowed to say anything and everything you want? I can't wait to have that kind of freedom.

Out on the dock. Jackson, Bonnie, Matt and my uncle Dave all jumped in. We always called this lake "rootbeer lake" because the water looks exactly like rootbeer when you jump in.

Look very closely at this package of forks. There is an offer for "FREE $5.00 pantyhose" on the package.......really? on a package of forks? They are slighty old. Also to be noted, we found a spider living very comfortably inside this package.

My grandma's card. Compliments of my sister Ariel. It was hilarious, she pulled it out of the envelope and poor thing looked so embarassed. Usually she would've laughed hysterically.....but come to find out later, the man sitting across from her when she opened her card was a member of the stake presidency.

You can't really tell, but all three of us were on one swing. Not as cool of a picture as we thought it would be.

Celeste was making fun of my "impractical belt." Its cute, that's all that matters.

And there you have it. When Seattle, Washington and the Britts collide. Stay tuned for the finale........
