The Hike of Death....and a Plane Crash

This hike started with good intentions.....but then, it happened. My plane crashed.

So, we wanted to take Lynlee to the Timpanogas caves so that we could get out for a nice hike, and maybe let Lynlee see some snow. I was excited about it....it had been a long time since I had made the hike, and I was all for it.

Ariel however, was forced into it by the all too familiar family phrase, "Come on. Come with us. You'll love it!" So there we were. Me, Lynlee, my mom and dad, and Ariel, about to take on the Timpanogas caves....

Don't be fooled by all the smiles. It was a little rough.

The restrooms were out of you know whats.

The park ranger told us they give everyone about an hour or so to make it up....we barely made it in two.

We missed our first tour.

We survived the way back down despite hearing Lynlee's randition of "Mother knows best" from tangled...over and over and over.

We always joke about our family outings and how rough they can be. But the truth is, they always turn into great memories, and in the end it is just so much fun to be with family.

All in all, it was another great Britt Family Expedition.

I have some serious problems with this post:
1. You can't just throw out "my plane crashed" and then move on! What do you mean you're plane crashed??!

2. Did you and your family seriously hike wearing a combination of flip flops, boots, and jeans?! No wonder it took you guys longer than normal!

3. You're totally busted! You're in Utah and you didn't tell me?! Granted, I'm in St. George til Sunday, but I still want to see you when we get back if you're still around. We could take Lynlee to Liberty Park!

Katie, have you ever seen 30 rock? When someone in my family says my plane crashed, it doesn't mean my plane crashed.....its a code phrase for something else...
