First Pool Party!

First of all, we love our new backyard..we have had so much fun just playing and enjoying the warm, sunny weather. Lynlee would literally live in the pool if she had her way.

Isn't it so cute?

I love this picture of Lynlee and her cousins. She adores them. She woke up yesterday morning and first thing she says to me is....Halee? Halee?

Only in Arizona.....night swimming is the best here because its still plenty warm, and you don't have to worry about getting sunburned.

I had a great birthday party, Natalie and Kyle and Bonnie and Matt were over for a little DQ ice cream cake....yummmmm!

We visited BYU while we were in Utah. Notice this photo is fuzzy. Lynlee had just eaten about a quart of ice cream (this is why Lynlee loves Grandma!), so she was running around like a chicken with her head cut off, so it was hard to get a good pic. We thought this BYU wig suited her well.
We dropped by one of Grandpa's lectures about dinosaurs. Lynlee got to help teach the class.......

The Mustache Must Go!

Alright. First things first. We celebrated a very momentous occasion while I was out visiting Utah. My dad made a deal that if Lynlee said Grandpa, he would shave off his mustache. Well, she said it, so the mustache had to go. You have to understand, this was huge. I have never seen my dad without a mustache, and we were all very excited for this moment:

Ta da!! We all agree it shaved 10 years off his age. Pun intended.

We all watched with much anticipation. We even set up stations along the counter for the event. Station 1: soak mustache. Station 2: lather up. Station 3: preliminary cutting of the stache. Station 4: THE SHAVE.

Here are more photos from the visit:

I didn't mean to take this photo, but I like it.

These last two photos are hilarious. Long story short-we woke up one morning and Matt asked why my dad's truck was parked at the entrance to the neighborhood. My dad guessed correctly that Ben had run out of gas in the truck and had walked the rest of the way home and went straight to bed. So, my dad woke him up early the next morning to go get the truck. He was embarrassed that we were taking pictures, so he tried to strategically hide the gas can and rode quickly away.

I love my brother.

He Did It!

Well, he did it. Jason graduated from dental school. It's been a crazy four years, and I am so proud of him. He spoke at graduation and did a phenomenal job, it was a very inspirational speech. It's so crazy to think that we are done with that chapter in our lives. We think back to the first year we moved out to Ohio, we thought four years sounded like an eternity....but it went by so fast. It's like watching your little kids grow up, one minute you're holding a little baby in your arms and the next minute, they are little toddlers and you wonder where all the time went.

Here's the whole gang, we were so appreciative of everyone that came out to support Jason. It was so fun to have family out to visit. Granted....we were all stuffed in a tiny apartment....

We also went and visited the Johnson farm, and Kirtland while everyone was out.

Lynlee drove.

Grandpa Nelson bought her a pink purse while we were out, she carried it the entire trip......What a doll.

Graduation Dinner!

So much to post, so little time. In my defense, we just barely got our internet up and running. I have so many fun new pictures I want to post of things going on here in Arizona, but I've got to catch up a little first...So, here are our graduation diner pictures. It was so much fun to see everyone, and be with our good friends for the night. As I am sitting here posting this, I am tearing up thinking of all the fun times we had. Ahh.....the good ol' days. We are going to miss all the wonderful times we had in Ohio.

Here are all the guys....What a great looking group, eh?

I already miss you girls!

Tiffany and I's attempt at a good picture. This was probably attempt number 10 or so. But who's counting. And yes, this is the best we could do.

Ahh....how cute.

For those of you who don't know Karly, she is my hero. For one, she is the best basketball player ever. Two, she is the best interior decorator ever, and I want her to come and decorate my house right now. And three, she is a sweetheart. And those are the reasons she is my hero. In that order.

Jason was actually in charge of coordinating the graduation dinner. He was the class president, so he had all sorts of fun jobs on top of everything else he was doing. He handled it all so well, and I am so proud to be married to such a hard working, kind and loving man.

The whole gang. Together one last time.

This was Jason's clinic director Dr. Fischbach. He is a great guy, and Jason really looks up to him. As a gift for being such a great clinic director, the guys got him his own bobble head.
