Thanksgiving and Lynlee's First Birthday

We just got back from a trip to Utah for Thanksgiving. Jason's parents were leaving on a mission November 30th, so we wanted to make sure we got to see them before they left. It was a short trip, but so worth it.
We get to ride horses on the farm when we go home, and Lynlee loved every minute of it.

Why do kids love cell phones??
My family came out to visit while we were staying at Jason's parent's home. It was so fun to see them, and so nice of Jason's family to let them crash for a few hours. Don't worry, there were only like 30 people at their house already.
Lynlee did not have time to be held while we were there. All she wanted was to be let down so that she could play with her cousins. She had no time for her boring parents.

We were so sad to say goodbye to his parents, but so excited for them to go on a mission. They will be great missionaries that will be a positive influence in the lives of all those they meet.

Lynlee turned 1 while we were there.....so we made a cupcake cake, and it only took us 3 hours to make it-we're just that good.

Lynlee just loved Grandma and Grandpa's house. So many fun things to do. So many fun cousins to play with. 17 to be exact.

Anybody catch the BYU vs UTAH game? GO COUGARS!
My man the cowboy.
Lynlee loved all the attention she got. It was kind of scary how natural it was for her to be the center of attention. She just sat back like this is how she should be treated everyday.

Oh you want another picture? Go ahead.

Happy Birthday banner.
The infamous cake.
A "Brooks Photo", as Jason pointed out.

New Moon: Best. Movie. Ever.

Die-hard twilight fans at the midnight showing of New Moon. There were about 20 of us in the group....I was lovin' those werewolves.

As Promised....

Our trip to Utah was so fun. Lynlee had a blast with so much attention, and so many people around to play with. Here is a random sampler of photos:
The classic domestic shot.
My sister, mom and I made this guitar cake. Life size, Fender Strat. Is that how you spell it?
Great Grandpa!
She discovered the piano while there...
Cheesy smile.
I got to meet up with some of my best friends....oh how I miss them!
Check this out. Lynlee has her hand in perfect position for a "C" chord. She's a natural, just like her mom.
Thanks mom and dad for such a wonderful time!
We miss you already!!

Jamaica and Utah

So.....I have a legitimate reason for not updating my blog....Jason and I have been away. I had the luxury of spending the last ten days in Utah with my family, while Jason was slaving away in someone's mouth in JAMAICA. Yep, that's right. Jason got to go to Jamaica....and yes I am very jealous. Pictures to follow..........
