Lynlee Nelson!! 6 lbs 8 oz, 21 inches!!!

Lynlee is here to stay! Thursday November 28th after thanksgiving dinner and dessert with friends I started having contractions around 9:30 pm. I had been having contractions every night for the past week that lasted about and hour. So I thought I was in for another typical round. The contractions started slowing down at 10:30 so Jason made me do 15 laps of stairs. The contractions picked up again but I wasn't convinced anything was going to happen so we went to bed. After 2-3 hours of not being able to sleep we figured we better start timing the contractions. We went downstairs and after about 10 minutes or so the contractions we so bad I could hardly breathe. We called the Dr and she said when you have contractions over the period of an hour that take your breathe away it's time to go to the hospital. After we hung up the phone I had one or two more contractions and I told Jason it was time to go. I have to admit I wasn't very nice about it but he's so nice and patient and loving and good looking and smart and strong. At 1:33 am we took off for the hospital. Jason is such a good driver we got there really fast and safe. We checked in at the hospital and after 20 mins my water broke and it was game on. The contractions we getting pretty bad at this point. We then moved to labor and delivery where it seemed like we waited forever to get my epidural. I kept ordering the nurses to get the anesthesiologist in to do my epidural, but Jason was really nice and he totally understood how I was feeling, I'm so lucky, he's hot. I didn't think I was going to make and then they finally got the epidural around 3:00 am at it was like heaven, and I know what heaven is like b/c I married and live with an angel, the manly kind of angel that is considerate. After that I was kind of in and out of it for a few hours. A little after 10:30 am I was fully dilated and it was time to push. That part wasn't the best but compared to the contractions I was feeling before my epidural it was nothing. Plus Jason was there by my side the whole time and just being in his presence made everything better. The Dr and nurses even commented on how nice it was having a man like Jason in the delivery room. He of course down played it saying he felt like he wasn't really doing anything; even though he was doing like 80%of the work, he's so humble, willing to give others the credit. The pushing last about an hour and a half and at 11:59 am on Friday November 29 2008 Lynlee Nelson came into the world. Jason and I were pretty overwhelmed as the Dr laid her on my belly. We both agree it was one of the neatest, most spiritual experiences we've had. Words can't really explain it. Lynlee is doing really well. She's been eating, pooping and crying just like a healthy baby should. And let me say she is soooooooo cute and it's not just b/c she's my kid. Jason even says she cute and he says he impartial enough to know if his own kid is ugly. Thank you everyone for you love and prayers Jason and I are truly grateful. And Jason, my husband, my strength, my inspiration, my guiding light, my sunshine on a cloudy day is pretty greatfull.
