What we've been up to.

Here are some of the latest events in our lives:

Cooper and crew both had surgery on their man parts, TMI? My dad refers to crew's surgery as "The Crew Cut." Okay, now that's definitely sharing too much. They both handled it like a man. Tough as nails those two.

Lynlee played her first season of basketball. She did awesome. Much better than the soccer experience. I have loved watching her play mostly because she tries so hard. She is on a boys team, so it has not been easy for her, but watching the determination on her face as she tries to learn how to play is just so satisfying as a mom. She is a determined, driven little girl.

Crew had his first birthday! He is as chubby as ever. He has the most kissable cheeks on the planet. And his smile is infectious.  Being the horrible parents that we are we did not get him any presents. Oh wait, Lynlee found a little compass ring that she wrapped in tissue paper and gave him, does that count?

Cooper is a difficult child. Very difficult. Bless his heart he is just hard. How do I explain why he's so difficult.....hmmmm. He's just a very physically demanding child. He throws things, breaks things, hits things. He hates wearing pants. He just hates them. "Too tight mommy!" Is what I hear from him every time I get him dressed. Then he throws a screaming fit for about 10 minutes, then he's over it. He hurts himself or someone else frequently. He hates to get his seat belt on in the car. He wants to eat all day. And did I mention he destroys everything? Well he does.

Jason and I have been able to have some really fun "vacations" together. We went to Vegas for a dental conference. Sounds super exciting I know, but for me it was a little piece of heaven on earth. First time I had left all three kids. I took a nap and slept through the night that night. Now that's a vacation. We also ran RAGNAR together. It was a really cool experience to be able to do it together. I tell you what, it was impressive to watch Jason. He is super competitive and super tough.  He consistently ran a 7 min 30 sec mile or so for all three of his legs. I am amazed at how good he is at everything he does. No honestly, it's just not normal. It is inspirational to me.
