Lynlee's Version

Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman

Once there was a snowman, fat, fat, fat

In the sunny mountains, mountains, mountains,

In the sunny mountains, flat, flat, flat.

Oh Christmas Tree

Our pride and joy.  Our huge and very real Christmas tree.  Why do we love it?  Well, let me count the ways.  First off, it fills up our front room which currently has nothing in it.  Literally nothing.  Not even a chair.  So, every year, once a year, this room feels like we didn't just move in.

Another reason- it is what gets us in the Christmas spirit.  Here in Arizona, we don't get that Christmasy feel all too often. 75 degree weather.....desert landscape.  Yesterday, Lynlee finished watching Frosty the Snowman, and then asked me "why don't we have snow during Christmas time like in the movies?" Sad day.

Jason's reason for loving the tree?  The smell.  of course.

Someday I will have my dream come true.  A HUGE fake tree, with all white lights, no bulbs and super cute ribbon and all the wrapping paper coordinated to match the tree.  Oh and a "christmas tree" scent plug in for the wall.

Jason's dream?  A real tree,  homemade ornaments, colored lights, and kid oriented wrapping paper.

Until then.  Here is our compromise.  A large, real tree, colored lights, ribbon and bulbs, and some kid wrapping paper mixed in with my silver.

I love this time of year!

Jameson Visit!!

So my little sister Bonnie had a little baby a couple months after Cooper was born, and I still hadn't seen her little one!  So, she came out to visit and it was so much fun.  It was so amazing to see her as a mother, it has come so natural to her.  Literally.  Natural. She actually had a natural birth with Daisy, which just blows my mind.  22 hours.  I. Could. Never.  She is one tough cookie.  Things to look for in these pictures, a third eye, Daisy and Cooper squared, a fake picture of Lynlee in "action" on the soccer field, and a picture of the little Beastie himself (as I so affectionately call my son)......

Lynlee's Adventures

Poor Lynlee has been super sick. It is the saddest thing when your little ones are so sick and you feel like there's nothing you can do about it.  Yes, that is throw up.  Just thought you might all enjoy that.

On the bright side I got out my dollhouse furniture from when I was a kid for her to start playing with. She was ecstatic and all throughout the day kept saying "Thank you so much for the dollhouse toys. Thank you so much mommy!" Moments like these just make being a mom so worth it.

Notice Brutus the Buckeye.  He always plays the dad.  Because he is the only male member of her toy collection.  So its only natural.

Family Visit

Drinking the Kool-aid.....and other fun stuff. Don't be fooled, I didn't really get the iPhone 5. But I did finally get an iPhone. The free one-three generations old. Nonetheless. When Jason saw that I got it he asked me if I got the divorce app.

Quiet Book!

Well, my friends and I decided to get together and make quiet books. For those of you who know me well, I am no seamstress. In fact, starting this project I had no idea how to thread a sewing machine. But, with a little work, and a lot of time, I think I've got the basics of sewing down. And I have to admit, it was super fun. I never thought I would be the type to sew, but lo and behold. Don't get too excited, I know this post will have most of you on the edge of your seat...so just hold on tight.

Here is an idea of what it looks like all put together.  Super fun.  Now, I need to get to the point where I will actually let Lynlee play with it.  I'm not ready yet, it's going to take some time.
