"The Boys"

So, here are a few Easter Egg Hunt pictures my friend Liz took, which I love! Lynlee absolutely loved collecting all those candy filled eggs. She had a blast this year because both my mom and sister Crystal were out visiting, so she was in heaven.

And now, for a Lynlee story:

We recently got our floors redone in our house, so we had a constant flow of construction workers in and out of our house for about two weeks. Lynlee did not like this. She called them "The Boys." They usually came over early in the morning, and would ring the doorbell around 8. Lynlee would turn to me with a scared look on her face and say, "Mommy! The Boys are here..."

They were tearing out our tile, so they had to cover all of our electronics with plastic covering. So, when Lynlee and I got home one night the tv was all covered up in plastic. She was not happy. She looked up at me, and said, "Mommy! The Boys did it. The Boys taped T.V. Mean boys."

Then a few days later, Lynlee left a cupcake on the counter which I told her she could have in the morning. When she woke up the next morning, it was gone. She started crying..."The Boys took it! The Boys took my pink cupcake." (ok ok, I ate it, so sue me.)

Then today, Lynlee found crayon markings on the wall. She grabbed my hand, and brought me to the crayon markings and said, "Mom. Look what The Boys did. The Boys did it."

How clever.

Quotes from CA

"It was so nice for you to have met me......"
(gotta love the singles ward boys, right?)

"I hate Japanese."
(my sisters claim I forgot to put the word "food" on the end of this sentence, as the waitress at the Sushi restaurant is standing right in front of me)

"I just love your orange hair."
(Michelle, while trying to have the "perfect" conversation with Penelope)

Penelope provided a lot of hilarious conversation while we were there. Here is one of my favorite conversations:

Me: "How was Disneyland?"
Penelope: "It was good... Oh, except for the fact that there were so many UTAH people there."
Me: "Oh really? How did you know they were from Utah?"
Penelope: "Oh, because Utah girls are always one year behind us in fashion."
Me: ".....oh, of course. of course."
