My sisters and I met up in California for their birthdays. Poor Jason and Lynlee stayed home, and hung out together. I know I probably overuse this phrase but I mean it this time:
Best. Vacation. Ever!

Don't get confused. Bonnie is the one with the blonde hair and I have dark hair. At one point, it was the other way around.

Yes, Ariel is in fact making a homemade cardboard skim board. She is the best. She always comes up with the most hilarious ideas. She had seen some young punk kids skim boarding last time she was in CA and decided that it looked easy enough. So she decided to make one herself, and when we got to the beach she ran right down to the shore to show them who's boss.

Baywatch shot with the cardboard skim board. If you look super close you can see it says "Lowe's" on it. I could be wrong, but I think all the skim boarders were super impressed with Ariel's skills. Who wouldn't be. It's a homemade skim board. come on.

Ahhhh, how cute. My little sisters all grown up.

Car ride = nice and roomy.

We got to play in the tidepools on Laguna Beach. That was probably my favorite part. I'm a bit of a tidepool nerd. I did an externship while I was at BYU where I studied in Oregon for a summer and learned about Marine Biology. I would've been a Marine Biology major but BYU doesn't have that major, so I settled for Biology instead. But Marine Biology is my true love.

Matt as a mermaid, with some fakies. Suits him well.

Gorgeous beach shot. This is Michelle, Bonnie's friend. She came out for the weekend too, and she was super fun and super cute.

Tidepools again. Ahhhh.

You'll never guess what Matt is doing here.....

We've got a lot of intelligent genes flowing through the Britt family as is. Matt's genetic make up will fit right in.

Speaking of intelligence. Here I am boogie boarding right into Bonnie. Boogie boarding was super fun. We got really into it. And I think everyone on shore was having a really good time watching us get annihalated by the waves. I believe at one point, Michelle said she heard some couple next to us on the beach laughing saying that we were about to get "rocked" by the next wave. And this we did. Bonnie came up crying.....it was hilarious. Sorry Bonnie.

My little Ariel. Isn't she a doll?

Here is the whole crew minus Crystal.

After the beach each day, we were starved. So we all got ready and went out to dinner for Bonnie and Crystal's birthday celebration.

yummm...Sushi. My Favorite.

"Happy Birthday Bony"

Name ten fruits. Apparently, Bonnie remembers me doing this to her a lot as a kid, so she was trying to get revenge.

We went to the mall one night after dinner, and there was a dueling piano bar, or whatever its called. So, while the pianists were playing all of us were dancing in the middle of this mall. I won't go into too many details, but I will mention two questions we got asked as we went to leave.
1) Are you guys sober?
2) Are you guys part of some sort of Glee club?
Enough said.

Matt and Bonnie in an awkward dance off. You had to be there I guess. We literally had the time of our lives.
To finish off this post, I dedicate these last two paparazzi photos to Matt. Who spent hours coming up with the perfect paparazzi pose. I thought these were classic:

Matt is a natural. Don't you think?
Still to come......quotes from the trip. Don't miss it.
