You knew it was coming..........

First of all, I am loving the holiday season this year. I feel like this Christmas season has been so busy, and so fun. I don't know why this time around I have been so much more excited, maybe its because Lynlee is more aware of what's going on and has learned every Christmas song on the radio.... Or maybe its because I just love the way our home feels around Christmas time. I love the lights all over the house, and the decorations and most of all the way the Christmas tree makes our house smell. (by the way, Jason picks his Christmas trees almost solely on their smell. He actually asks the tree guys, "Which tree smells the best?" and then he goes from there.)

But probably the biggest reason I have been so excited and happy this season is because we are FINALLY expecting our second little baby!!! I'm sure most of you know, but this time around took a lot longer than expected. Its always a little rough when you are ready to have another and you want it so badly, and it doesn't happen, it can get a little frustrating. Ok, more than a little frustrating. It can be really hard.

I am 16 weeks officially, which seems crazy to think about because it seems to have gone by super fast. I must say, this pregnancy has been a piece of cake compared to my first pregnancy. I have actually really enjoyed being pregnant. If I heard anyone say they enjoyed being pregnant when I was pregnant with Lynlee, I may or may not have wanted to slap them in the face. I wonder if a lot of it has to do with feeling so much more gratitude this time around for being able to be pregnant in the first place. I think that when you want something so bad, especially something you feel like is a righteous desire, and it doesn't happen, it sure is a humbling and faith building experience. I can't even express how grateful I am, and how lucky I feel to be able to have another little baby join our family. What a blessing these little babies truly are.

We will find out what we are having January 13th, and I am super excited to find out. I bet its a boy. But that's just my opinion, take it for what its worth, and I guess we'll see in January!

Thanksgiving 2011!

Well, the Britt clan came out for Thanksgiving again this year. Once again we jumped in the ol pool, trying to keep up the tradition. Even Lynlee joined us this year. "It's not too bad, Mommy," is what she said after she stepped in and I asked her if it was super freezing.

Ariel and I were saying this picture looks exactly like the one we took last year. Same pained face and everything.

Of course, Thanksgiving also means Lynlee's birthday, so we had a little family party. Lynlee is surrounded by Ariels...

"No Shave November" took its toll on Ariel this year.

Little Miss Princess.

My sister Ariel is super creative and made this homemade guitar for Lynlee to jam out on.

And now for a few Britt Family quotes:

My dad has a habit of asking how much anything and everything you own costs. Here is a conversation we had about the vegetable tray I bought:

Dad: "How much did that cost?"
Sarah: "2 bucks."
Dad: "No really, how much did that cost. Tell me the truth."
Sarah: "2 bucks."

It saves a lot of time and frustration if you just throw out an arbitrary number that can't possibly be true. That way he just drops it.

"Your whole family is just really short."-High pockets

"Well, at least we're not on stilts."-Ariel

"See! I told you....."-Lynlee

Time Out 2011!

So, here's a little flashback photo of the group of girls I went to Time Out with while I lived in Ohio. I remember thinking, I don't think I'll ever have close friends like this that would want to spend a weekend away, get a hotel and stay up until 3 just chatting.....

But....that's exactly what we did! It was a lot of fun, and it was inspiring getting to know these women better, and hearing their stories.

Pedis!

Learning "the pose."

Kristy and I attempting "the pose."

And of course, a little girl's night out is never complete without a yummmy dinner....

Lynlee's Friends!

Lynlee has a cute little group of girls that she gets to play with every monday, and she loves it. For the last week in October I had the girls come over with their halloween costumes on, and it was the cutest thing. Here are a few pics:

We Party Rock!

Lynlee and I drove out to Utah last week for a surprise birthday party for my little sister Ariel. It was so much fun to be there for the party. My sisters did an amazing job planning the whole thing. It was "We Party Rock" theme (the LMFAO song) and everyone came dressed for the occasion. Lynlee was right in the mix of the party the whole time. Anytime there was dancing, she was dancing in the middle of the circle. Anytime we were playing the Michael Jackson game on the Wii, lynlee was front and center doing the dances along with the crew.

And then of course, no Britt outing would be complete without some dinosaurs.

(These next few pics were all taken by Lynlee. Hence the out of focus, and the finger over the lens. I still thought they were pretty good for a 2 year old)

And of course, pumpkin carving. Notice the Triceratops on the top right. That was Ariel's pumpkin. Ariel starting carving it and my dad saw what she was carving and was so proud. He left the room and Ariel said, "And that's how you suck up to your dad."
