I must say, this was one of the best vacations I've ever been on. It was Jason and I's first cruise, and it was fabulous. We went to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico and Grand Turks, all of which were gorgeous and had amazing beaches. We had been planning this trip since our freshman year in dental school, we knew we would need a nice, long vacation to celebrate getting through dental school. We went with the Draayers, who were so much fun to hang out with for the week. In fact, after the cruise, we felt like we were going through Draayer withdrawals. We also met up with the Heatons, who happened to have booked this same cruise, and spent time with them throughout the week.

A few days before we left, I felt super crappy. I had a sore throat and was super achy, so the first day on the boat was a little rough....I actually ended up getting Tiffany and Jason sick during the trip, which I felt bad about....and I'm pretty sure Brian ended up catching it too.

Here we are on the ship just leaving the port in Miami. Ahhh.....I wish we could go back and do it all over again.

Here we are at the beginning of the cruise, still nice and pale, eating in the dining area. And by the way, I ate so much the entire week. I mean, how could you not when there is all you can eat soft serve. My excuse was that it made my throat feel better. You could get food anytime during the trip, so we ended up eating about 4 meals a day minimum.

Our first stop was the bahamas. It was beautiful. We spent the entire day on the beach playing with the water toys. We scared a bunch of little kids off the water trampoline so that we could jump, only to find we weighed too much to do any sort of jumping. Its safe to say I got pretty sunburned this first day out, and I learned my lesson fast. We were applying sunscreen every few hours to make sure we wouldn't get fried.

Can you believe how blue this water is? The beach in the bahamas was one of my favorites.

Here is a shot of what the beach looked like from onshore. It doesn't get much better than this.

Those of you who have been on a cruise know that they have formal dinner night, where you dress up and go to dinner. Tiffany and I had a lot of fun getting ready together while the boys watched the NCAA tournament and ate sushi.

I loved the food, I was really impressed with the variety of food they had every night, and I thought it was so fun to get all dressed up.

Here we are in our room before we went to dinner, our room was small, but actually the bed was really comfortable, and we had a tv so we got to watch all the basketball we could get.

Our next stop was St. Thomas where we took a boat out to St. Johns and snorkeled. St. John's was a gorgeous island. We got to see houses owned by Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson and many others.....

We also took a gondola up to the top of this mountain, and this is the view at the top.

Here we are waiting in line.

We also did a little shopping in St. Thomas, the mountain behind us is the one we rode up to the top of.

Next stop was Puerto Rico. I will just say, I hated Puerto Rico. There I said it. It was the worst. We almost got left in Puerto Rico. Literally, we were about 2 minutes away from being left on the island without a cell phone, credit card or driver's license. How would we have made it home??? Ugghh....This is what happened. First we visited a historic fort (pics below), and then decided we wanted to do something really fun, so we took a cab to a beach to jet ski. We didn't realize the beach was 20 minutes away, and by the time we got there we only had about 45 minutes to play. So, we jet skiied, and didn't bring a watch with us because the guys who rented us the jet ski said they would come get us when our 30 minutes was up. Well they didn't. So, realizing we had to have been out there longer than 30 minutes, we went back to shore and saw that it was 2:47. We were supposed to be back on the ship at 3, and it was leaving at 3:30. After a crazy scary cab ride back to the ship, we saw that they were taking up the ramp to get back on. They had to re-set up the metal detector to let us through....but we made it. Like I said, it was the worst.

We tried drinking coconut juice straight from the coconut. Not good.

Here we are in the fort.

I love this photo, isn't it crazy how tight the streets are? This street was lined with all sorts of shops...which I might have enjoyed, but because I hated Puerto Rico, I hated the shops.

Here is a view of the capitol from the fort. It was breathtaking. Still not worth almost getting left though.

Besides all the gorgeous islands and beaches, it was also really fun just hanging out on the boat. There was a waterslide, ping pong, volleyball, mini golf, basketball....you name it. Of course, we also did some suntanning, but any of you that know Jason, know he cannot just sit and suntan. He had to be up doing something, which took away from my tanning time. We even playing in a volleyball tournament, which we didn't win, but pretty much should've gotten 2nd place because the team that beat us ended up winning the tournament. We also had a free throw shooting contest which I proudly took 2nd place in. Not to toot my own horn or anything.....but toot toot.

I love this picture, this was just after snorkeling on Grand Turks, the last island we visited.

We got to hold huge sting rays, it was a little scary, but they actually seemed very gentle. All Tiffany and I kept thinking was.....Steve Irwin...Steve Irwin.
